A Musical Marriage (Wedding Video of Han Boon & Amanda)

This is the first time that we have filmed such a musical marriage. Han Boon sings, Amanda sings and even the Priest sings! My vote goes to Amanda’s rendition of “Make You Feel My Love” (sorry Han Boon). It’s no surprise when your parents met in one of the best church choirs in Singapore. Han Boon really brought forward his game during the gatecrash games even dressing up for the event. Been such a fun couple, we decided to go with a piece that has a faster beat instead of a sentimental one. Enjoy!

“Bro, you really spoil market.” (Wedding Video of Shawn and Malini)

“Bro, you really spoil market.” – Best man

That basically sums it up for Shawn who went all out to ensure that the love of his life, Malini had a fairytale wedding. From a horse drawn carriage to a beach solemnisation, the whole works were in. It was indeed, a day that Shawn and Malini wanted to be special.

Rather than splitting the wedding to 2 wedding videos. We wanted this wedding video to fuse the various elements of the traditional Indian ceremony and the western solemnisation together. Speeches were also included as we think they really expressed the heartfelt expressions of Shawn and Malini’s close friends and family members.

Wedding Film of Bernice & Kenneth (Lighthouse Studio Wedding Videography)

A wedding film does not have to be solely romantic, it can most certainly be fun too! Watch Kenneth as he attempts to say his vows in Hokkien. Hilarious! Just love been there to capture the moments and memories of this fun wedding.

We felt that Kenneth and Bernice were an expressive bunch and decided to focus more on their expressions & reactions in the wedding film. The momentary smile or nod says so much more than just words alone.

Unconditionally – Wedding Film of Jonah & Phoebe (Lighthouse Studio Wedding Videography)

They met on the runway and now writer weds blogger. Having just a “typical” wedding film will not do them justice. Since words were so much part of their lives, we had to capture their mutual expressions of love for one another, making this film, uniquely theirs.

How do you make your same day edit wedding video (SDE) more unique? You might consider including segments of your journey together by storyboarding it into the SDE. Sophia and Teck Loon have a unique way of meeting each other. We won’t reveal too much just that it involves an aeroplane. Love how simple day to day occurrence can be so much more romantic than a night in Paris.

Having Fun at Your Wedding – Wedding Film of Kit Fan & Min Huey

Kit Fan and Min Huey are a really sweet and fun loving couple and nothing was going to stop them from celebrating their wedding. I really admired the strength and resilience of their relationship by not letting anything affect their wedding. No pretensions, no fear, just having fun.

3 Things to Know Before Hiring a Wedding Videographer

“Too Many Choices!”

The wedding date is set and you began your search for your wedding videographer. Where do you start? With so many vendors in the market, it sometimes feels like finding a needle in a haystack.  Here are 3 simple guidelines to make that search for the right videographer a simpler affair.

1) Style

They come in all shapes and sizes and it really depends on you where your sensibilities lie. Some like it sentimental and romantic while others like it cheerful and upbeat. Is your wedding film going to be music driven or one that has recorded audio from the church vows and gatecrash? Having a rough idea of the style of wedding film will help in narrowing down the number of choices.

2) Investment for a Lifetime

Video vendors require an investment from $600 to $8,000, dependent on the quality and professionalism of the company/individual. Weddings are usually dynamic events that require vendors to be in position and capture those “once in a lifetime” shots. Experience counts. The more professional vendors have distinctive styles, offering unique services and often giving you a customised video. Some production houses are even able to include your solemnization in the evening into the same day edit video for the evening banquet.

3)  The Shangri La Experience

The wedding industry is in essence, a service industry and wedding production houses should be no different.  As vendors, we want to take your worry off the wedding video so that you can focus on more pressing matters aka “The Guest List”. Having a vendor that is prompt with your inquiries and going the extra mile such as attending church rehearsals should give you the insight to the service levels of the vendor.

“Start your search now!”

Keeping these three points in mind will make your search more focused and hopefully take some of the stress away. It also allows you to make the decision much earlier as your preferred vendor might not be available if you book them late. The right vendor is waiting for you out there, why don’t you start searching now?

Love Is a Many Splendored Thing (Raymond & Winnie’s Same Day Edit Wedding Film)

Raymond and Winnie approached us for a more intimate same day edit wedding film. Separately, Raymond wanted to surprise Winnie with a letter. We took another direction in the film style and edit. Instead of the boisterous fanfare of gatecrash, we decided on a more romantic note. We wanted to storyboard their relationship through the medium of a letter alongside their scenes of their interactions. In the end, it was an emotive film that brought more than a few tears in the banquet, cinematographer included.

The wedding of Naveen and Joanne was really a celebration. A kaleidoscope of colors, cultures and union, this fun loving couple really knew how to throw a good wedding party. 18 GROOMSMAN! This sure beat our record for the most number of them of all time and they really plunged into the gatecrash games without hesitation. Games aside, Their wedding culminated with their emotive vows and speeches. All together a great party to be in.

One of the most emotional wedding (Wedding Video of Jianyong & Jacqueline)

Jianyong and Jacqueline are a rare breed, budding entrepreneurs, they decided to take the road less traveled to strike out on their own. The really do complement each other, one the savvy ideas and marketing person, the other a cool headed planner. From the successes of their business, they really work well together. Work aside, you could really see that they enjoy each other’s company, finding common ground in their differences. We decided to use their wedding video to bring to the foreground the simple things that make them fall for one another. It was really an honor to be part of their wedding and witnessing their emotional expressions of love though their vows and actions.
