“Bro, you really spoil market.” (Wedding Video of Shawn and Malini)

“Bro, you really spoil market.” – Best man

That basically sums it up for Shawn who went all out to ensure that the love of his life, Malini had a fairytale wedding. From a horse drawn carriage to a beach solemnisation, the whole works were in. It was indeed, a day that Shawn and Malini wanted to be special.

Rather than splitting the wedding to 2 wedding videos. We wanted this wedding video to fuse the various elements of the traditional Indian ceremony and the western solemnisation together. Speeches were also included as we think they really expressed the heartfelt expressions of Shawn and Malini’s close friends and family members.

How far would you go to do a wedding proposal?

One of the most awesome wedding proposals we filmed in Lighthouse Studio.

No More Template Wedding Videos Please!

How do you make your same day edit wedding video (SDE) more unique? You might consider including segments of your journey together by storyboarding it into the SDE. Sophia and Teck Loon have a unique way of meeting each other. We won’t reveal too much just that it involves an aeroplane. Love how simple day to day occurrence can be so much more romantic than a night in Paris.

Excuse me, are you a Cinematographer?

Most of our couples have always asked us what is our filming style. Are we more cinematic or are we more journalistic? Romantic or comedic?

None actually. We refuse to be boxed in to a particular style. After all, you are an entirely unique individual. You have experienced special moments in which no one around you has. You see things in different ways and feel them in different intensities. Why would we want to impose a template or a particular filming style on you?

Hongcheng (HC) and Chia Syen are a beautiful couple. I think you could place them in a Taiwanese Drama and they would never look out of place. They and their friends had put much effort to the gatecrash games (The bridesmaids wanted to punish their groomsmen husbands.) and we wanted to capture the atmosphere of the day. We also added some Taiwanese flavour to Hongcheng (HC) and Chia Syen highlights video.

It was a riot from beginning to end. We sure enjoyed filming them. Love you guys, HC and Chia Syen.

How to have fun in your own wedding: John and Winnie

It was fantabulous to film the wedding of John and Winnie! The couple sure knew how to throw a party for their wedding. While we have seen many themed weddings. This is one which their friends dressed up for the Alice in Wonderland theme.

You could really tell that they were so loved by many. From the best man’s speech to the hilariously funny surprise dance item by their friends. Everything celebrated their love for one another. One of the highlights of the day was probably John and Winnie’s first dance. The beautiful couple danced with such grace and elegance that it was certainly mesmerizing.

When the BOSS gets married

Its one thing to be filming a wedding, but its totally another form of experience being on the other side of things. Like what some mentioned, its finally my turn to experience this rite of passage.

The rest of the team from Lighthouse Studio then took on the role to film our wedding, putting in more plans than usual to ensure all aspects of the wedding are well taken care of, and are well documented.

All I can say is that the wedding day passed by ultra fast, and I did not fall into the “trap” of micro-managing my video crew as there was simply no time to do so, and I had already relayed some of the ideas and thoughts of how i desired the production to turn out.

Thanks guys for the lovely memories you have documented, the extra dedication in doing beyond 200%.

Banquet March in your Wedding Express Video

Creating a wedding express video is no easy feat. Producing a great video within limited amount of time requires the best out of us. But how about having elements of your first march in the express video?

Really appreciate Samuel and Cheryl for trusting us with their wedding video. They allowed us to stretch the boundaries and use those creative juices of ours to do something different from our usual style. Slick editing, skilful camera work and most of all a great couple allowed us to produce this masterpiece.

3D Montages a growing trend

Looking for something unique and new in your wedding? Lighthouse Studio introduces 3D montages (no goggles required). We were growing tired with the typical photo slideshows aka powerpoint style, with their cliche transitions. After a while, one looses attention to the photo slideshow pretty fast. Why not make something great to watch and still base it on photos? We decided to bring “life” to photos enabling them to interact with one another. It’s a WOW factor to most who have seen it. Check it out.

When I say it all…

“When I first held your hand when we got together, I now want to hold your hand until we grow old…”

Words like these always make us a little emotional. There is so much meaning within those few words; Love, commitment, a promise and a testament. We were very privileged to witness the wedding of Eugene & Genevieve. Throughout the wedding day, those few words described Eugene & Genevieve’s love for one another. It was a myriad of colours from the “pink” gatecrash to the vibrant kebayas. All these added to the celebratory atmosphere of this special day. Most of all, it was the speeches by Eugene & Genevieve that bared witness to this new beginning of their lives together. We wish these soul mates all the best with many joyous memories to come.

Emotive is the Word (Highlights of Douglas & Michelle)

We’ve filmed many couples and each wedding is always beautifully and wonderfully unique. For Douglas and Michelle, the wedding was emotive to say the least. When Douglas serenaded to Michelle, everyone could see that he was singing from his heart. The song meant so much more than an expression of love but a commitment to be together forever. The couple even wrote their own vows which was a testament of their journey and their mutual pledge towards a new life together. Congratulations Douglas and Michelle. I hope this video captures the spirit of the day and bears witness to your love for each other.
